Reviews

I don’t ask people for reviews or letters of thanks, but some people send them through. Here are a few reviews past clients.

From Mary, Top Rope Solo – “

Fantastic, very instructive, useful and interesting day; thank you so much.”

From James –

“Hi Dan

I just wanted to thank you again for the intro to sport climbing course a couple of weekends ago, it was really well delivered and informative. We have all the gear to start and went with some friends to Frogsmouth today after some bouldering in the area and were able to safely lead and clean one of the easier routes there.”

From Michael –

“Hi Danny

I wanted to say thank you for delivering an amazing RCI training, I had hoped the feedback form from MTA would have let me leave written feedback.

The course was amazing and I feel I learnt a lot and has given me a boost in confidence and the drive to work on perfecting everything that I learnt on the course and learn and improve my own outdoor climbing.

The mentality you came in with of trying to make us the best instructors filled me with confidence that I had pick the right course for me. I will definitely be looking at doing my assessment with you in the future once I am ready.”

From Rich, observing a RCI training – “Hi Danny,

Thanks for letting me observe your course as part of my CPD.

When I observe our staff/instructors, we relate it to the companies EPIC values, (Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Caring). It was clearly evident that you not only had a passion for climbing, but also for training people. You did seem to care about each of the staff members on the course and the clients that we work with. The course was excellent in its execution, content and delivery. In addition your integrity was high, as demonstrated by how we discussed the responsibilities and liabilities that climbing instructors have towards their clients, using stories and examples from the climbing world.

I learnt a lot from observing you, not just specific climbing coaching techniques from the course content, but also how you delivered the training the course and related the content to other sports/disciplines e.g. the warm-up/stretching discussion and methods. It has made me reflect on my own practice and as a result, I may adapt my approach to how I train staff/deliver courses, such as when questioning to gain answers from participants. I am delivering a water safety course tomorrow, so I may put some of these techniques into practice straight away!

Thanks once again, Rich”

From Kelly, CWI training –

“Just a quick not to say a big THANK YOU to Danny for the last two days….such a brilliant couple of days! They were genuinely insightful, and I think it’s safe to say we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The time absolutely flew by. Your knowledge, enthusiasm, passion for climbing really shone through”

From Andi C, CWI training –

“Dan, Thank you so much for the past 2 day. The training you provided was abseolutely wonderful. We did get so much information but you made it so engaging and interesting with your enthusiasm. I absolutely loved every second of the course. Such a shame it is over now. I hope to see you soon for the assessment or maybe more training. I will work hard to pass it. Looking forward to seeing you again soon. My thank Andi C.”

From Simon W, Route setting –

“HI Danny
I don’t know if you accept reviews, but it’s always useful to have some just in case anyone needs a reference for you in the future.
Really pleased with the route set over the last 2 days as always delivered on time and with no surprises. I’m always amazed by the amount of prior work you have done, coming in with ideas and plans to offer something new in what is an extremely difficult wall to set. In addition to the setting skills, thank you for taking time to assist with some additional training for Ian so he could see into the dark art of route setting and for helping with the session you observed. As always we hugely value the time and input that you give, not just as a tech advisor, but as a route setter, provider and mentor.
I’m looking forward to how things develop, but the wall is getting better and better and momentum/excitement are growing now. I think the fuse is lit and we will go from strength to strength now, mainly due to your involvement.
Cheers
Simon”

From Anastasia, RCI training, assessment and coaching –

“Hi Danny, Just wanted to say a big thank you for a wonderful assessment weekend and for all your help over the past year. Thank you for dealing with my 10 million questions over the past year.

Hope to see you again in the future.

All the best

Anastasia”
