I am a member of The Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI) and I’m fully insured for the role of Technical Adviser.
I have been working as a qualified instructor since 2000 working for a variety of centres and client groups. I have experience in running and managing outdoor activity centres, climbing walls, undergoing inspections from government agencies (AALS), delivering National Governing Body (NGB’s) qualifications and site specific training / assessment courses.

My role as a Competent Person or Technical adviser may include:
- Giving relevant up to date advice
- Running NGB or site specific training / assessment courses
- Up to date information on good practice
- Writing or assisting with the development and annual updates of standard operating procedures and risk assessments
- Advice and assistance with the selection, maintenance, inspection and retirement of equipment
- Advice and assistance in the application for licensing and inspections
